Story ~

An executive recently hired to a large firm, Fred Staples (Richard Kiley) becomes friends with Andy Sloane (Ed Begley), the Vice President to whom he reports and a man who has devoted his life to the company at the expense of his family life ~ but soon learns the company’s president Walter Ramsie (Everett Sloane) hired Staples to replace Sloane.

When Sloane refuses to quit the company, Staples is forced to make a choice, with tragic results.
