Story ~
In this political thriller set in the early 1970s, a Marine Corps colonel (Kirk Douglas) stumbles onto a plot, led by an Air Force general (Burt Lancaster), to stage a coup against an unpopular U.S. president (Fredric March) when the President signs a nuclear disarmament treaty with the Soviet Union.
